    About STV Technology

Hey all, we here at True Shot Academy are going to go over STV Technology today. The brand has been garnering attention in recent years and is currently ramping up its ammo production capabilities. We are going to delve into the company’s history, product offerings, and other considerations. Without further ado, let’s talk about STV Technology.

    Who is STV Technology?

STV Technology is an ammunition manufacturer based in the Czech Republic. The company is a member of the STV Invest holding and is under the umbrella of the STV Group, a large Czech manufacturer of military goods. The company was founded in 2017 and has exhibited growth since its inception. Initially, the company entered the market with their flagship 9mm ammunition offerings and have since expanded to rifle ammunition manufacturing and converting. Currently, STV Technology ammo offerings encompass pistol and rifle calibers. As of now, the company does not produce loadings for shotgun or rimfire calibers.

Where is STV Technology Ammo Made?

STV Technology ammo is made in the Czech Republic at the company’s facility in Polička. Notably, all components of STV Technology ammunition are produced by the company in-house. This includes important components such as brass casings and projectiles. As far as the primers and powder utilized by STV Technology, the company sources these products from high-end manufacturers to ensure reliability. Loadings produced by STV Technology are manufactured to exacting standards such as C.I.P. specifications.

    STV Technology Pistol Ammo

STV Technology primarily produces pistol ammunition. The handgun ammunition offered by STV Technology is going to be in the form of various 9mm loadings. As of now, the company currently does not produce loadings for pistol calibers besides 9mm. These 9mm loadings are available in the company’s Scorpio and Golden Bee product lines and are available with either 115 grain or 124 grain forms. Full metal jacket (FMJ) projectiles with lead cores are utilized in these loadings, making them great for range use and for training. Pistol ammunition from STV Technology can be had in either individual 50 round box form or in bulk ammo quantities of 1,000 rounds.

    STV Technology Rifle Ammo

Beyond handgun ammunition offerings, STV Technology also produces and converts rifle ammunition. The company has recently initiated rifle caliber manufacturing operations, offering popular calibers such as .223 Rem, 5.56, 7.62×39, and .308 Win. These rifle calibers are available in the company’s Scorpio product line with many calibers being offered in various grain weights. In addition to the fresh ammunition offered by the company, STV Technology also offers converted military surplus ammunition. These loadings are available in calibers such as 7.62×39 and 7.62x54r and are essentially surplus loadings which feature updated components which meet C.I.P. specifications.

    Is STV Technology Ammo Corrosive?

Loadings from STV Technology notably do not feature corrosive primers. New production STV Technology loadings utilize non-corrosive Boxer primers rather than corrosive primers. Converted surplus 7.62×39 and 7.62x54r loadings from STV utilize Berdan primers. Additionally, STV clearly marks on ammunition boxes that their contents are non-corrosive, providing a clear sign to shooters that corrosion is not possible. Nevertheless, shooters will not need to worry about corrosion when shooting STV Technology ammunition of any kind.

    Is STV Technology Ammo Reloadable?

STV Technology ammunition utilizes freshly made brass casings that the company manufactures in house. These virgin casings are excellent candidates for reloading as they will not have been subjected to the firing process until a shooter actually uses their STV ammunition. If the brass from one’s STV ammo offering is recoverable and appears to be structurally sound, there is no reason one cannot reload it. Of course, the fact that Boxer primers are utilized with most of the company’s commercial offerings makes it easy for reloaders due to standardized primer sizes. In short, most loadings from STV Technology, like their handgun caliber offerings, are able to be reloaded.

Is STV Technology Ammo Range Safe?

With the exception of the company’s M855 5.56 loading and their converted 7.62x54r offering, the ammunition offered by STV Technology is range safe. This is to say that loadings are able to be shot at indoor and outdoor ranges which have restrictions on certain types of ammunition. Full metal jacket (FMJ) loadings from STV, in either rifle or pistol form, will feature lead cores, making them safe to use at ranges which disallow the use of steel core ammunition. Simply put, one will be able to shoot commercial STV loadings like their 124 grain 9mm Golden Bee loading at the range without issue.

    Conclusion

All in all, STV Technology ammo offerings represent high-quality loadings that won’t break the bank. The loadings offered by the company are well-suited to the needs of many types of shooters, especially those looking to train or simply shoot recreationally. We here at True Shot Ammo carry STV Technology ammo in addition to our wide range of ammunition for sale. Whether you want to buy STV Technology ammunition or buy bulk ammo, we have got you covered. As always, happy shooting.
