    What Are Hawke Optics?

Hey all, we here at True Shot Academy wanted to go over Hawke Optics. The company produces a wide variety of optical devices which range from firearms optics to binoculars. Our mission here is to provide a brief overview of the company while discussing some of their firearm-oriented product offerings and their traits. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

What is the Background of Hawke Optics?

The story of Hawke Optics began over 40 years ago in the company founder’s garage in the United Kingdom. Since the company’s inception, the company’s reputation and presence has expanded beyond the borders of the UK. Presently, Hawke Optics has a presence in over 60 companies across the globe. In 2007, the company expanded its operations to the United States while still maintaining their headquarters location in the UK. Since their inception, the company has developed multiple lines of optical products and continues to expand their presence today.

Where are Hawke Optics Products Made?

While the company is based in the United Kingdom and has a presence in multiple countries, the products offered by Hawke Optics are manufactured in China. Because of this, the company is able to offer their optics at an economic price point. The company also utilizes a variety of reticles which were designed and patented in the United States and Europe in their designs.

    Hawke Optics Product Offerings

    • Red Dot Sights – Hawke Optics offers a wide variety of red dot sight type optics. These optics are offered in the form of the company’s Vantage, Endurance, and Reflex lines. The offerings from the Vantage line feature a low-profile integrated mount which is compatible with Weaver and picatinny rails. The Endurance line of red dots feature two types of mounting options, increasing their versatility and optimizing their compatibility with firearms such as AR-15s. The Reflex offerings are all going to be smaller-sized red dots which excel when utilized on pistols. All of these optics, like the name suggests, feature red dot reticles with zero magnification. These red dots will serve a shooter well and allow for fast target acquisition and engagement.
    • Prism Scopes – A number of prism type optics are also offered by Hawke Optics. The company currently offers 1x, 4x, and 6x magnification options in their prism optic line. These prism optics offer fixed magnification and illuminated reticles. The 1x prism sight uses the company’s Speed Dot reticle while the 4x and 6x reticles feature a 56 BDC reticle. Optics of this type tend to bridge the gap between red dot sights and traditional magnified optics.
    • Riflescopes – Hawke Optics offers a variety of riflescopes. Like their red dot sights, these riflescopes are also offered in a variety of product lines. Riflescopes can be had in the company’s Vantage, Endurance, Sidewinder, and Frontier lines. The company offers riflescopes in both first focal plane (FFP) and second focal plane (SFP) configurations. Hawke Optics riflescopes are also available in a wide variety of magnification ranges. This makes it easy for an end user to find a magnified riflescope which best fits their firearm and intended use case.
    • Airgun Scopes – In addition to optics intended for use with firearms, Hawke Optics also manufactures scopes for airgun use. Airguns have a unique recoil impulse which differs from that traditional firearms. If one were to put a traditional scope on an airgun, it would likely break due to the impulse from the spring. The airgun scopes offered by Hawke Optics are well suited to airgun uses such as hunting or plinking.

    Are Hawke Optics Expensive?

Most of the products produced by the company are budget-oriented. This is particularly evident when comparing some of their offerings to others on the market. If one considers prism optics, one will see that the Hawke Optics offerings of this type are competitively priced. All three of their current prism optic offerings demand a significantly lower price than Trijicon ACOG scopes. The offerings from Hawke Optics are also priced comparatively to the prism offerings from Primary Arms. At the end of the day, one certainly will not break the bank with Hawke Optics.

    Conclusion

At the end of the day, Hawke Optics provides consumers with affordable optical solutions which will not break the bank. The wide variety of optics offered by the company helps them appeal to a wide variety of shooters. Hawke Optics also stands behind their products with their No-Fault Lifetime Warranty.
