Is 38 Super the same as 38 Special and can it be fired from the .357?

38 Super and .38 Special are two distinct cartridges with different dimensions and ballistic characteristics. They cannot be used interchangeably in firearms designed for one or the other. Attempting to fire the wrong cartridge in a firearm can lead to dangerous consequences, potentially causing severe damage to the gun and posing a significant safety risk to the shooter and those nearby.
The .38 Super is a higher-pressure cartridge primarily used in semi-automatic pistols. It has dimensions that are not compatible with firearms chambered for .38 Special.
