Phoenix Area Public Land Clean Up Day Feb, 2025
Hey all, we here at True Shot Academy are going to talk about an upcoming event near Phoenix, Arizona.
Redacted LLC and Infinite Defense have organized a cleanup and community day near the end of February, 2025. This event stands to benefit shooters in the area by instilling a sense of community and helping maintain public lands. Without further ado, let’s see what the upcoming Phoenix area Public Land Clean Up day is going to look like.
What is Going On?
Redacted LLC is hosting their first Public Land Clean Up of 2025. The company has organized similar events in the Tucson and Salt Lake City areas in the past. Put plainly, this event was organized to highlight the importance of maintaining the public lands that shooters use. A large portion of the event will be dedicated to removing trash and waste from the area.
A raffle will occur between the cleaning portion of the day and prior to the kickoff of the range day. After lunch and the raffle have concluded, the range day portion of the event will begin. Throughout the range day event, shooters will have the opportunity to demo gear and firearms and access training. Put plainly, the day will comprise of cleaning, shooting, and coming together as a community of Arizona-based shooters.

Why is Cleanup Needed?
Unfortunately, many shooters do not properly clean up after themselves when shooting. This is evident in the many
ammo boxes, casings, targets, and water bottles left in many public shooting areas. Additionally, things such as televisions, computers, propane tanks, and other assorted improvised targets also litter shooting spots on public land. Things such as pallets and couches are also not uncommon sights in shooting areas. With many shooters being lazy and careless, this waste can accumulate and get out of hand quickly.
There have been many cases of shooting areas being closed due to misuse of this type. Instances such as this have occurred in many states and on both public lands and state sanctioned shooting areas. Authorities and land management agencies see excessive refuse and shut these areas down to prevent further abuse of the land. Due to this fact, clean up days such as this are necessary to ensure that our shooting areas stay open. In short, clean up days preserve current shooting spots, maintain public lands, and ensure spots remain open for future use.
When is this Happening?
This event is taking place on Saturday, February 22, 2025. The event is set to run from 10 am to 5 pm.

Where is this Happening?
The event will take place in the Tonto National Forest, specifically at Sycamore Creek. This area is just northeast of the Phoenix metropolitan area. A map specifying the location of the event can be found on the

Redacted LLC, attendees should wear walking shoes as there is going to be a bit of hiking involved.
Who is Going to Be There?
Naturally, the event organizers
Redacted LLC and Infinite Defense will be present at the event. Additionally, Desert Warship will also be present for the clean up event. Additionally, Flux Defense has provided a Raider X Chassis products for event attendees to demo during the range day event. Beyond these entities, other Arizona-based shooters will also be present at the event. This will allow for networking and for shooters to establish a sense of community while preserving their public shooting areas.

What Should You Bring?
As this is a clean up and range day event in one, attendees should plan accordingly for both activities. The following is a packing list of recommended items from
the organizer’s website.
Packing List:
- Gloves: There’s broken glass and sharp metal around.
- Water: It’s high noon in the desert.
- Ear and Eye Protection: We’ll have some to spare.
- Training Kit: Guns, belts, plate carriers, helmets, and chest rigs are acceptable.
- (Optional): 5.56 and 9mm ammunition for demo guns.
How Do I Attend?
To attend this event, simply show up at the specified time and place on February 22, 2025. As this is a volunteer event at its core, there is no cost of admission. Attendees just need to get themselves from point “A” to point “B” to attend this event.
