Sig Sauer Accessories
Hey all, we here at True Shot Academy are going to go over
Sig Sauer accessories today.
Sig Sauer is a well-known name in the realm of firearms as their products are used by a variety of end users. Today we are going to explore some of the accessories offered by the company beyond their
ammo and firearm products. Without further ado, let’s talk about Sig Sauer accessories.
Who is Sig Sauer?
Sig Sauer was founded in Germany in 1976 and essentially served as a partnership between the German J.P. Sauer & Sohn and Swiss Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft (SIG) entities. The company became well-known for their various firearm offerings such as the Sig Sauer P226 and Sig 550 series of rifles. The company established its American presence in 1985 in the form of SIGARMS in Virginia. This American branch served as an importer and distributor of Sig Sauer firearms.
The American arm of Sig Sauer would eventually move to its present location of New Hampshire in 1990 and become its own entity in the form of Sig Sauer, Inc. in 2007. In recent years, beyond firearms, the company branched into
ammo manufacturing. Additionally, the brand also expanded its product offerings to include things such as optics and flashlights. Multiple Sig Sauer firearms like their M17/M18 pistols and their MCX Spear-LT offerings have garnered military and law enforcement attention.
Sig Sauer Accessories
As mentioned above,
Sig Sauer currently manufactures and offers various products beyond their complete firearm offerings and
ammunition. These offerings are most commonly found in the form of their flashlight, optic, airgun, and firearm part offerings. Notably, most of these products can be used by shooters regardless of whether they own a
Sig Sauer product or not.

Sig Sauer Weapon Mounted Flashlights
Notably,
Sig Sauer offers a variety of weapon mounted flashlights. Like the name suggests, these products are intended to be affixed to a firearm. Presently, Sig Sauer produces weapon mounted lights for use with handguns and long guns. This is to say that everyone from pistol shooters to those with rifles, shotguns, and subguns can effectively use Sig Sauer weapon mounted lights.
Notable examples of these products include the company’s Foxtrot line of flashlights. Foxtrot offerings of this type can be had in the form of the company’s Foxtrot-MSR offerings and their T1X and T2R lights. The MSR offerings can be had in either full size form or compact form and are well-suited for use on various rifles, shotguns, or subguns. Sig Sauer Foxtrot T1X and T2R offerings are designed primarily for use on semi-automatic handguns.
Sig Sauer Foxtrot-MSR Compact
The
Foxtrot-MSR Compact represents a versatile weapon light which is appropriate for use on rifles, shotguns, and subguns of many types. Due to its low profile, the light is right at home on firearms of all sizes and adds minimal bulk to its host. The light is complimented by accessories such as a pressure pad for remote activation in addition to both 1913 and M-LOL mounting solutions.
Sig Sauer states that this light provides 1,350 lumens and up to 33,000 candela. As mentioned earlier, the light comes with two mounts but is compatible with the established Scout light footprint.
Sig Sauer Foxtrot-MSR Compact lights are powered by single 18350 batteries and feature an hour of constant runtime. As far as batteries go, the light is accompanied by two rechargeable 18350 batteries.
Sig Sauer Handheld Flashlights
Beyond weapon mounted offerings, the company also produces a number of flashlights for handheld use. These types of flashlights are incredibly versatile and provide illumination on demand in a convenient carry package. Lights of this type are well-suited for EDC, or everyday carry use. Like their weapon lights, these products are also offered in their Foxtrot line of flashlights. These lights can be had in various sizes, providing end users with multiple offerings to consider for EDC.
Sig Sauer Foxtrot EDC Full-Size & Foxtrot EDC Compact
Sig Sauer offers both
Foxtrot EDC Full-Size and
Foxtrot EDC Compact flashlights. Notably, these two flashlight offerings produce the same amount of lumens as their Foxtrot-MSR offerings. This is to say that these offerings produce 1,350 lumens and put out 33,000 candela. Both lights can be powered by a single 18350 rechargeable battery. Notably, the
full-size variant of the EDC can be powered by both a single 18350 or by two CR123A batteries, allowing for versatile power sources. The
compact variant of the light has a stated runtime of about an hour while the full-size variant provides about 1.5 hours of use. Each light comes equipped with a steel clip which makes it easy for them to be carried within a pocket.
Sig Sauer Optics
Sig Sauer has also been involved in the production of various optics in recent years. Optic offerings encompass traditional scopes and electro optics. This is to say that shooters can find standard magnified scopes and red dot sights in various styles from Sig Sauer. Electro optics offered by Sig Sauer are perhaps the company’s most prominent optic offerings. These offerings encompass pistol red dot sights in addition to offerings intended for use on rifles and similar firearms.
Like most optics of this class, red dot sights from Sig Sauer are well-suited for competition use, training, and even uses like concealed carry and duty use. The red dot sights offered by Sig Sauer fall into the company’s Romeo product line and can be had at various price points. Additionally, these optics are supported by accessories such as the company’s Juliet magnifiers.
Sig Sauer Romeo-X Pro Red Dot Sight
The
Romeo-X Pro red dot sight offered by
Sig Sauer represents a versatile micro red dot sight. Notably, the optic took many design cues from the Romeo-M17 optic and brought them to the market at a more affordable price point. Due to the sight using the common Delta Point Pro footprint, the optic is compatible with a wide range of mounts. This is to say that one can easily mount this optic on a variety of pistols or as a primary or secondary optic on a larger firearm. Powered by a single CR1632 battery, the optic has a stated runtime of about 20,000 hours.
Sig Sauer implemented their MOTAC technology into this sight, allowing it to spring into action when it detects movement. The optic features a total of 15 brightness settings with 3 serving as dedicated night vision settings. Shooters will have the ability to choose between either a 2 MOA dot reticle or a combination of the 2 MOA dot with a 32 MOA ring. The optic notably has a low deck height which allows shooters to cowitness with standard height sights.
Sig Sauer Romeo 5 Gen 2
This red dot offering serves as an update to the popular Romeo 5 optic offered by
Sig Sauer. The initial Romeo 5 became well-known among shooters as it served as an economically priced optic which was viable for the needs of many shooters. This updated model features a sleeker design and many functional updates. The
Romeo 5 Gen 2 sight features a total of 12 brightness levels with 2 settings serving as dedicated night vision modes.
Powered by a single CR2032 battery, the
Romeo 5 Gen 2 optic features a stated runtime of approximately 40,000 hours. Like the
Romeo-X Pro, the
Romeo 5 Gen 2 also makes use of the company’s MOTAC technology. The supplied I-BEAM mount provides a lightweight and low-profile mounting solution which can be swapped easily should the shooter desire. Keeping things simple, the Romeo 5 Gen 2 features a simple 2 MOA dot reticle. This simple reticle draws little power and is viable for a variety of use cases. Additionally, the optic’s low cost makes it viable to shooters of all budgets.
