Who Is Vista Outdoor?
Vista Outdoor is one largest parent companies of outdoor-oriented brands and products. Many brands and products in the firearms industry are under the Vista Outdoor umbrella. 41 brands are under this parent company which engage in the marketing, production, and design of outdoor and sporting products.

What is Happening?
Vista Outdoors has been conducting an ongoing process of separating their businesses and restructuring. The reason for separating the businesses was born from a desire to create two highly focused entities. As mentioned above, the parent company covered both outdoor and sporting products. Separating and focusing on both of these businesses as separate entities is a strategic move which makes them easier to manage. In the latter half of 2023, Vista Outdoors agreed to sell their Sporting Products Business to the Czechoslovak Group for $1.91 Billion. It is specifically the Sporting Products Business which is undergoing rebranding at this time. On February 22, 2024, it was announced that the entity would now be rebranding itself as The Kinetic Group.
What Brands are Under The Kinetic Group?
The brands which were under the Vista Outdoor umbrella are now under The Kinetic Group. These brands include Alliant Powder, CCI, Speer, Remington, Federal, and Hevi-Shot. Essentially, nothing has been lost during this rebranding.
How Does This Impact the Consumer?
Practically speaking, this rebranding is not something which will be noticed by many consumers. The rebranding of Vista Outdoor’s Sporting Products Business as The Kinetic Group has no impact on the availability and viability of their brands. The rebrand will impact those who do business with the parent company itself more than the everyday consumer. Changes associated with this rebrand such as updated billing and contact information will need to be considered by industry entities doing business with The Kinetic Group.
