Good stuff

The original Rio slugs at 1100 fps were softer shooting and very accurate. These seem to be just as accurate through an 870 slug barrel at both 25 and 50 yards. Competition involves shooting 5 slugs in 10 seconds and one minute respectively at a B-27 target. These slugs consistently hold the 10/X ring at 50 and one hole at the 25. Just wish they would lose that extra 200 fps.

It has been hard to find low recoil slugs that are actually in stock. These Rio 12g slugs have the lowest recoil in the ~6 brands/types I've tested (granted most were not marketed as low recoil), they run reliably in my 1301, and are accurate enough to hit the head of a man-sized steel target at 100 yards.
