Our goal here today is to provide you with an overview of this light offering and delve into some of its traits and features. Without further ado, let’s examine the Surefire Stiletto.

Who is Surefire?

Surefire is a major player in the world of suppressors and flashlights. Founded in 1979 and based in Fountain Valley, California, the company has become one of the best-known names in the tactical industry. Their illumination products in particular have been employed by law enforcement and military personnel across the globe. Shooters of all types, particularly those who concealed carry, have utilized flashlights from the company either mounted on a handgun or in a handheld capacity. The Surefire Stiletto Line of Flashlights

The Surefire Stiletto product line encompasses multiple models. Surefire offers their Stiletto, the Stiletto Pro, and Stiletto Pro II flashlights in this product line. The standard Stiletto light which launched the series of flashlights is specifically what we just got in stock.

Convenient Illumination on Demand

The best light is the one you have. The Surefire Stiletto is easy to carry and retain in one’s pocket, making it easy to have on your person and readily accessed when needed. Like the name suggests, the unit is slim and has a sleek form factor. If you carry a folding knife every day clipped onto your pocket, carrying a Stiletto will feel familiar. The lightweight construction and sleek form factor of the Stiletto allow users to have it on them at all times. Need a dim tasklight for looking under your vehicle? The Stiletto easily accomplishes this task. Need a high lumen output for navigational purposes? The Stiletto can also accomplish this task. The light even works well as a handheld compliment to a handgun if a shooter needs illumination. This can be especially useful in a defensive situation.

Illumination

The Surefire Stiletto has multiple output modes. The illumination range covers three different levels of brightness, covering 5 lumens, 250 lumens, and 650 lumens. At its highest output level, the peak beam intensity of the Stiletto is 1,530 candela. The illumination level can easily be changed by pressing the main button on the body of the flashlight. The light can be programmed to go from low to high or high to low, depending upon the preferences of the user. A tactical switch at the narrow base of the light can be utilized to immediately provide a high output of lumens or activate a strobe feature.

Surefire Stiletto Battery Information

The Stiletto line of lights utilizes an onboard rechargeable battery, eliminating the need to buy spare batteries. The lithium polymer battery is charged by an included MICRO-USB cable. The Stiletto features an LED fuel gauge on the main body which allows an end user to track the device’s charge. At peak output, the device has an estimated runtime of 1.75 hours. When used in a medium output mode, the flashlight has an estimated runtime of 2 hours. If the Stiletto is used in low output mode, the device has an estimated runtime of 30 hours. Stiletto Construction

The Surefire Stiletto features a combination of aluminum and polymer in its construction. The durable polymer body keeps the unit lightweight, aiding in keeping the Stiletto a handy tool. The head of the unit is constructed from aluminum and features a hard anodized finish. The anodized finish allows the head to resist corrosion and the elements, an important factor to consider with an everyday carry light. The pocket clip on the Stiletto is constructed from spring steel and features a Melonite finish to protect it from the elements. The unit passes IPX4 water testing, making it resistant to water damage.

Conclusion

All in all, the Surefire Stiletto represents a versatile and capable tool. Its lightweight profile makes it easy to keep on your person at all times, allowing you to have a potent illumination tool with you for when the need arises. Surefire products are extremely well-made and are the result of extensive testing and R&D. In the event that a unit fails, the company’s warranty will cover you and Surefire will take care of you.
