Aguila Ammunition has manufactured rimfire, shotshell and centerfire ammunition since 1961 from its facility in Cuernavaca, Mexico. The company is one of the largest rimfire producers in the world, and it has earned a reputation for innovation, using modern manufacturing processes and quality materials to serve shooters across a wide range of applications.
Aguila 22 Short 29 Grain CPSP keeps one of the oldest self-contained cartridges still in production well supplied. The .22 Short dates to 1857 and remains useful precisely because of what it is not: it is quiet, produces almost no recoil and carries very little energy beyond short distances. This 29 grain copper-plated solid point loading feeds and functions in the vintage rifles, gallery guns and revolvers chambered for it, while the copper plating reduces lead fouling compared with bare lead bullets. For close-range pest control around outbuildings, introducing new shooters to marksmanship, or simply keeping an heirloom .22 Short firearm shooting, Aguila's version offers consistent ignition and reliable performance from a company that never abandoned the cartridge.
