Great ammo for open bolt sub machine guns.

Great ammo for open bolt sub machine guns. Finally new production hot ammo. Yes, not just hard primers, but high pressure.

I have one smg that wont even run nato +p, but ran perfectly with Vairog Carbine only. I was impressed.

    Good PCC range ammo

Good range ammo for sure. Bought it for my Ruger PCC. Ran perfectly in the 17 rnd. magazine from Ruger. Had a few failure to feed using the Amend2 34 rnd. magazines, but I think it is from a break-in period for the gun. I would definitely purchase it again. Peace everyone & shoot on!!

    Vairog “Carbine” ammo

Great ammo, it’s like 9mm +P. When this Vairog ammo is gone there won’t be any more, they stopped producing it. Grab it while you can!

Can I use this carbine ammo in a Glock 19, or would the primer cause a problem?

    Customer Service

I wanted to reach out to clarify that the product you've selected is specifically designed for CARBINES, not pistols like Glocks. Carbine models differ from pistols, and unfortunately, this product isn't compatible with Glock pistols.

Is the Vairog - CARBINE ONLY - 9mm, 115gr, TMJ ammo comparable to "+P " by SAAMI pressure specs of 9mm ammo where 9mm +P is rated to have a ceiling of 38,500 PSI? I'm shooting out of a Ruger PC Carbine with Chassis System (specifically, a take down barreled carbine) that appears to be relatively robust and I believe would be classified as a "Carbine" for this purpose, correct?

    Customer Service

I wanted to address your recent inquiry about the compatibility of the Vairog 9mm carbine with your Ruger carbine. Based on our expertise and the information provided, the Vairog 9mm carbine should indeed be suitable for use with your Ruger carbine.

Besides a hard primer WHAT makes it carbine only? Higher pressure? Is this relabled SMG ammo? A little more info goes a long way!

    Customer Service

    Hello Ronn,
Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry about our Vairog - CARBINE ONLY - 9mm - 115 Grain - TMJ ammunition. We are happy to provide more information to ensure you make an informed decision.
The designation "Carbine Only" is due to the hard primer. This is a significant feature of this ammo, reducing the risk of primer flow and puncture, it may lead to light strikes in firearms with lighter hammer or striker springs. Therefore, it is always advisable to thoroughly test any new ammo type in your firearm to ensure compatibility and reliability. Regarding your question about the reliability of this ammunition in SMGs, it is worth noting that SMGs, much like carbines, typically have more robust actions. Consequently, our Vairog - CARBINE ONLY ammo can indeed be a reliable choice for SMGs. However, we always recommend checking the manufacturer's guidelines for your specific firearm to ensure the ammo is suitable and will not cause undue stress or wear. I hope this clarifies your queries regarding our Vairog - CARBINE ONLY - 9mm - 115 Grain - TMJ ammunition. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask.  Happy Shooting!
